When not cycling round the Yorkshire Dales or servicing bicycles, you may find him competing in Triathlons and Duathlons, having represented GB in his age group (old man section….). He is qualified as a triathlon coach working with up and coming triathletes at his local club and also coaches colts rugby having played professional rugby league.
Akin to a duracell bunny on speed, Dave loves exercise and keeping up with him can be seen as a mission.
Colin has the outdoors in his blood. Kayaking the second ever descent of the Rio Urubamba, rock climbing the Cassim Route on Piz Badile, Heli skiing in Canada & latterly road cycling the Hundred Cols Tours through France are just a few examples of his passion. Colin has lead and taught others to lead groups in rock climbing, mountaineering, caving, kayaking and sailing. He holds international licences for Alpine Ski Teaching and Alpine Ski Race coaching and has 30 years experience teaching Outdoor Adventure. He gets his biggest buzz however, from bumping into former trainees who have gone on to great things patting him on the back saying “Hi there Col, how are you doing?”
